Abstract:

The intellectual Structure of knowledge and its research front can be identified by co-word analysis. This research tries to reveal the intellectual Structure of rural studies in Human Geography, using co-word analysis, network analysis, and Science Visualization tools.Bibliometric methodology and social network analysis are used as the research methods. The research population comprises 11202 records in the field of Rural Geography during 1980-2015, which have been retrieved from Web of Science. Results indicated that “China”, “Migration”, and“Poverty” are the most frequent keywords in the rural studies; and “Rural---Urban”, “China---Migration”, and “China---Poverty” are the most frequent keywords coming co-occurrence. Use of hierarchical cluster analysis in coword created 7 topical clusters in rural studies. Clusters of "rural area" and "physical and natural environment of the village" located strategically in the best condition. In general, according to the results of this research it seems that in addition to geographical factors (such as the physical, natural, and spatial analysis), economic topics including livelihoods, poverty, income, and agricultural economy have gained the interest of researchers in in rural geography.

Purpose: To identify the patterns and trends of the Iranian LIS Studies and the changes made in the Intellectual Structure of this field. Methodology: Using the keyword co-occurrence method and the knowledge Domain Visualization approach, the intellectual Structure of LIS has been studied. The research community is all research papers and articles of conferences that have been published by Iranian researchers in the period from 1970 to 2016 in the LIS journals and indexed on the WOS. Citespace software was used to map and analyze the network of Iranian studies. Findings: Cluster analysis led to the identification of 10 clusters. Overall, it was found that the main focal points of the research are two general titles of "Science studies" and "information studies", where the share of each of these two research centers from all identified clusters was 4, 5 Cluster. The largest cluster, according to the number of nodes, was "User Studies and Systems" and the oldest cluster based on the average year of formation, "scientific collaboration. " The results of the analysis of the keywords burstness, "Internet", "World Wide Web", "User studies" and "Search engines" respectively, have attracted the most attention of the researchers of information Science and Science and are among the hot topics in the time series investigated. Conclusion: The network of the key words of Iran LIS studies is immature; so that from the total of 257 nodes present in the analysis process, 71 nodes were located between 2000 and 2009. One of the important points in reflecting on the analysis of the central nodes of the keyword network is related to the low centrality scores of the word “ library” in spite of having high occurrence frequency; which may be interpreted as the reduction of pivotal role of this concept in the LIS literature.

Abstract:

Background and Objectives: Knowledge commercialization is a trend that a university can transfer the results of own members' research to the market to make capital. The point to be taken into account in this process is to identify and prioritize the factors contributing to the process of knowledge commercialization. It must be noted that identifying influential factors allows managers and decision makers to make decisions and determine commercialization policies. Accordingly, this research tries to identify and prioritize the factors affecting the commercialization of research results. Identifying the factors influencing the knowledge commercialization allows researchers and scholars to detect the possible barriers and anticipate removing them. Methodology: This research used qualitative approach and confirmatory factor analysis method to identify the items influencing knowledge commercialization in previous researches through library studies, then using Delphi method, it sought the opinions of knowledge commercialization experts about the identified factors in the University of Isfahan. The samples consisted of 262 faculty members and graduated students of Isfahan University in the academic year of 2018-19 who have commercialized the results of their research or planned to commercialize but failed and also were familiar with the process of knowledge commercialization. In this research, descriptive statistics including mean and standard deviation were run to calculate the opinions of experts on the indicators of knowledge commercialization. Furthermore, Kendall's coefficient of concordance (W) was used to determine the degree of unity in experts' opinions. Also, to prioritize the factors, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used. Findings: Among the three factors under study, background factors with a weight of 0. 456, content factors with a weight of 0. 339, and structural factors with a weight of 0. 226 ranked the first to third priorities, respectively as the factors affecting knowledge commercialization. Applying fuzzy AHP, the sub-criteria for each of the main factors were compared as a pair. Defuzzyfication results of structural sub-criteria show that the "financial and information resources" with a weight of 0. 359, "hard capabilities, processes, technology, and capabilities" with a weight of 0. 343, and the "networking strategic links" with a weight of 0. 298 were ranked first to third, respectively. Moreover, Defuzzyfication results of the content sub-criteria show that "knowledge base and research quality" with the weight of 0. 507, "soft capabilities; human and marketing skills" with a weight of 0. 301, and "internal management of the organization" with the weight of 0. 192 were ranked first to third, respectively. Identifying the ultimate priority of indicators affecting the knowledge commercialization with the help of pairwise comparison showed that among the indicators related to the sub-criteria of financial and information resources, the index of "providing the required financial resources" with a weight of 0. 577 is the most important one. Among the indicators of strategic links, the index of "establishing strategic relations between the university and industry" with a weight of 0. 564 is in the first priority. Also, of the five indicators related to the sub-criterion of hard capabilities, the index of "creating a center / institution of commercialization" with a weight of 0. 245 is the first priority. Among the four indicators of internal management, the index of "strengthening and promoting the culture of commercialization at universities" with a weight of 0. 307 is the first priority. Furthermore, a pair comparison of the innovative infraStructure sub-criteria revealed that the "communication infraStructure" index with a weight of 0. 429 is the first priority. The fuzzy values related to the sub-criteria of the political and legal environment confirm that the index of "commercial support laws and regulations" with a weight of 0. 548 is the first priority. Among the four indicators related to the sub-criteria of "technical, economic and market environment", the index of "market needs and demand for research results" is in the first priority. Discussion: One of the obstacles to knowledge commercialization at the University of Isfahan is the lack of communication infraStructure to organize the results of academic research and provide it to related industries for exploitation. Lack of knowledge about academic researchers and the needs of the industrial sector as well as inability to communicate effectively with the industrial sector are the factors that lead to a failure in the knowledge commercialization. Obviously, the connection between university and industry will be effective in conveying the results of academic research. On the other hand, lack of information network for registering ideas, patent and research results in the Deputy of Research and communication with industry at the University of Isfahan has caused the owners of ideas and inventors to face a bulk of obstacles to transfer research results or register their ideas. The lack of supportive policies in the field of intellectual property ownership is also of the concerns in this respect. Because the lack of guarantee in the protection of intellectual property rights lead to the transfer of academic research results through the bases other than the academic ones and the role of universities in this regard be overlooked. Given the existence and occurrence of such problems, it seems necessary to design and use the information system for registering and transferring inventions by considering the laws of intellectual property owners at the University of Isfahan.

Abstract:

Nowadays, the fundamental role of having a purpose for life in physical and mental health has been confirmed. According to victor frankl, presence of a purpose in life gives life a meaning and increases resilience against pains and traumas. The importance of the purpose in life construct reveals the need for a reliable and valid tool to measure it. Crumbaugh and Maholick's purpose in life questionnaire is the first and one of the most applied tools for the assessment of life's purposefulness. The aim of this research is to determine the factor Structure of purpose in life questionnaire. The questionnaire was administered on 206 students who were selected through random stratified sampling at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. Exploratory factor analysis showed that there are two factors "comprehension" and "purpose" and this finding were confirmed by confirmatory factor analysis. Altogether results of this research showed factor validity of the purpose in life questionnaire with a two factor pattern

Abstract:

The idea that Science is objective, or able to achieve objectivity, is in large part responsible for the role that Science plays within society. But what is objectivity? The idea of objectivity is ambiguous. This paper distinguishes between three basic forms of objectivity. The first form of objectivity is ontological objectivity: the world as it is in itself does not depend upon what we think about it; it is independent of human thought, language, conceptual activity or experience. The second form of objectivity is the objectivity of truth: truth does not depend upon what we believe or justifiably believe; truth depends upon the way reality itself is. The third form of objectivity is epistemic objectivity: this form of objectivity resides in the scientific method which ensures that subjective factors are excluded, and only epistemically relevant factors play a role in scientific inquiry. The paper considers two problems that arise for the notion of epistemic objectivity: the theory-dependence of observation and the variability of the methods of Science. It is argued that the use of shared standard procedures ensures the objectivity of observation despite theory-dependence. It is argued that the variability of methods need not lead to an epistemic relativism about Science. The paper concludes with the realist suggestion that the best explanation of the success of the Sciences is that the methods employed in the Sciences are highly reliable truth-conducive tools of inquiry. The objectivity of the methods of the Sciences leads to the objective truth about the objective world.

Objective (s): Health psychology emphasizes the role of psychological factors in the cause, progress and consequences of health and illness. The purpose of this research was to analyze the trend of publications and illustration of investigations in health psychology during the years 2013 to 2022. Methods: The current research was a descriptive analysis carried out with a scientometric approach. The statistical population of the current research was 26,223 health psychology documents in WoS database. Data analysis was performed using Excel, Histcite and VOSviewer softwares. Results: The findings showed that 149 countries contributed to publication of health psychology documents. The USA, England and China ranked first with the publication of 53% of documents. Researchers from Iran also ranked 20th by publishing 319 documents (1.22%). The journal "Frontiers in Psychology" was recognized as the most productive and influential journal by publishing 1068 articles (4.07 percent) and receiving 15,615 citations. "University of Melbourne" with 282 articles (1.1%) was recognized as the most productive and "University of Michigan" with 10,137 citations introduced as the most influential institute. The main topics were: hot topics, notable topics, and emerging topics. Conclusion: The findings showed that during the years 2013 to 2022, the trend of publication of documents in health psychology was increased. It can be predicted that if the frequency of publications in health psychology continues its current trend, the cumulative frequency of publications in the next 10 years, i.e. 2031, will be more than doubled. Possibly it is time that health psychology research be directed towards priorities and needs of the society.

2Background and Aim: Traditional medicine (TM) or complementary medicine is an old method based on culture, which has been developed in various forms of indigenous therapeutic methods in different societies. This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the publication trend and visualizing the scientific Structure of TM. Materials and Methods: This study was carried out with a scientometric approach. The statistical population included 29,852 documents indexed in the TM field at the WoS database during the period of 2012 to 2020. The Excel and VOSviewer software were used for data analysis. Results: The findings showed that the scientific outputs of TM during the period studied had had an upward trend with 343,700 citations. Two universities in South Korea, namely Kyung Hee University and Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine (KIOM), had had the largest number of publications in this field. Further analysis of the data revealed that the highest levels of cooperation occurred between China and the US (565 cooperations), followed by China and Australia (253 cooperations) and China and the UK (134 cooperations). Finally Iran was found globally to have ranked fourth as regards TM publications and to be the most highly specialized country (in terms of RSI) in this field. This would necessitate more attention to appropriate scientific policy-making on the part of the responsible officials. Conclusion: The cumulative frequency of publications in the field of traditional medicine in 2030 will be twice that in 2020. This trend would require special attention in scientific policy-making.
